League Information:
We are a FREE Mogul Football League that runs off the software Mogul Football 2007 by Sports Mogul. Our leagues run a total of 6 weeks to complete a full season (cycle).
Our league is based on Memberships and a membership entitles you to be the GM of your favorite football team.
As GM, you control everything from Rosters, Ticket Prices & Financials, Trades, Free Agents, Resigning Players, and most importantly is managing that Salary Cap.
Interested in getting a Membership and becoming a GM? Checkout our GM page to see what teams are available!
League Rules:
- You may only GM one team per league and MUST have a copy of Football Mogul 2007 from SportsMogul.com and run the same version as posted on our home page.
- You can not make a trade with a Computer GM except for the following:
Place a player on the trade block for computer teams under the
league forum. Commish will post a reply with all computer teams who
have a need for this player, has plenty of cash available, and
plenty of salary cap available to cover this acquisition. You can
NOT complete a Computer Trade with a player who you signed as a Free
Agent (Player with an expired contract) within the current season or
offseason in which you signed that player via Free Agency. You would
have to wait until the current season is complete to trade him to
the computer controlled team.

AND THE PLAYER MUST BE 31 YEARS OF AGE OR YOUNGER.
- Leagues are no fun if everyone is not active, so you must be active in managing your team or your membership will be removed.
- We do run a trade deadline during season as is built into Mogul Football 2007.
- Free Agency - After the resign period is completed all players not resigned by there current teams will be a free agent. The game will assign a player a MINIMUM contract demand. Bidding will START at that players MINIMUM contact demand (as negotiated in your teams free agent negotiation box, amount of contract years is up to you) and must maintain the minimum Signing Bonus during bidding (because game does not let you go lower then the demanded bonus). If no team wants a player at his contract demand he will remain a Free Agent. Keep in mind that his contract Demand WILL (usually) get lower as our offseason/season progresses.
- Free Agent Bidding - As noted above all free agent bidding will start at the game assigned Minimum Contract Demand for that player (includes Bonus Money, Salary, & Years). All bids must be posted on our Forum under "Free Agents", just start a new thread for each Free Agent. If any team wants to bid up that Free Agent you must reply in that same thread of the higher bid. 24 hours of inactivity after the highest bid the player will sign with the highest bidder.
- Injured Players - You may not CUT an injured player. This goes for an injury that is for 1 game or an injury that is for 30 weeks, you must wait until he is fully recovered to cut him.
- We also go by a Salary Cap that is a fixed amount per-determined by the commissioner prior to each year. Number can be adjusted based on revenues/Cash in-hand by the teams (just like real life).
- How Free Agency & Draft works with the Salary Cap - GM's must always stay below the Salary Cap (just like the NFL). You can NOT sign a Free Agent or (in this game) Draft a player unless you are BELOW the Salary Cap (with adding the new contract). In order to sign your new Player to his new contract you must be able to fit that Contract in below the Salary cap. If that new contract (for the FA) exceeds the Cap you must make cap room within 24 hours of the close of bidding for that player before the signing can be completed. You must leave enough Cap Space for the Draft because as soon as a player is drafted they are assigned a Contract, make sure you leave enough Salary Cap space before the draft begins or you will lose your draft choice!
- During the Draft a player is Assigned a Contract (Bonus Money & Salary) by the game. We can not negotiate or change the Bonus/Salary/Years that the game assigns. This means you must have enough MONEY and CAP SPACE to draft a player and meet his contract needs. If you do not you will forfeit that draft selection. Drafted players in the 1st and 2nd rounds can be signed up to 7 years. Drafted players in the 3rd thru 7th rounds can only be signed for 3 years MAX.
- If a team is in debt a GM must trade players for cash or cut down salary so you can make money the next year. Teams will NOT be able to resign current players if you are in debt. If you constantly run your team in debt and you are unable to remove yourself from debt you membership will be removed.
- After resigning period has ended all unsigned players will be disbursed into free agency. During free agency teams can bid on players via our discussion board. A bid must hold for 24 hours without another bid for bidding to close and the team with the highest bid signs that player.
- During Resigning and Free Agency the Commissioner will manage computer personnel moves. The computer based teams will only bid on players if it is a GREAT need for that team to keep them competitive.
- If you miss your draft choice and have not submitted a list or all players from your list are gone you will receive the highest scouted player.
- If a computer controlled team has 3 wins or less or has a negative balance of cash will be controlled by the Commish during the entire offseason. This will help keep all teams competitive and have a much more competitive league!
- What makes this league fun is GM's who actively manage there teams, so please come ready to manager your own Football Franchise!
- Starting for the August 12th 2007 season we will limit Human GM's to 70 contracted players on the roster by opening day and during the season. Starting the following season we will limit each team to 60 players during the season. You can have more then 60 players during the offseason, but not during weeks 1-17 and the playoffs.
- All rules are subject to change per commish.
